Abstract: This work presents the results of a Delphi study conducted in 2007 on the situation of Andalusia by 2020. The study analyses eleven fields which were considered of great importance: education, gender, politics and democracy, social policies, urban planning, culture and economic structure, economic flows, market work, sustainability, technology and development. We carried out a two-waved Delphi study where at about fifty experts were involved. The study provided basic information to develop a hierarchy of importance of trends in Andalusia considering 2020 horizon. The study helped to identify risky areas and key factors which could trigger social and economic development of Andalusia by 2020.
