Chapter 8 in Handbook on Frugal Innovation, 2023, pp 114-125 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter presents a gender lens for frugal innovation and discusses how it adds value for the frugal innovation discourse, processes and outcomes. Adopting a gender lens deepens our conceptualisations of frugal innovation and understand what it can contribute to –and what not- and most importantly, for whom. The goal is to advance more gender inclusive evaluations of frugal innovation and offer avenues for future research.
