Chapter 5 in Invention, Innovation and U.S. Federal Laboratories, 2020, pp 65-78 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: Observational evidence is presented between invention disclosures and patent applications in federal laboratories/agencies. The relationship is shown to be positive and statistically significant. It is proposed, based on the findings from Chapter 4 and this chapter, that to understand technology transfers in federal laboratories one must understand the following relationships: R&D _ Invention Disclosures _ Patent Applications
