Transport innovations: the potential for transformative change
Peter Newman ()
Chapter 5 in Net Zero Cities with Sustainability, 2025, pp 95-109 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Mid-capacity transit is suggested as a major part of net zero cities with sustainability. The story of trackless trams and their potential for transformative change is outlined, along with their certification, procurement, and partnership requirements. The need for regulatory and process changes to unlock this technology is demonstrated.
