Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted travel behavior, primarily influenced by shifts in individuals’ risk perceptions and attitudes toward the virus. To comprehend the chronological evolution of travel behaviors and risk perceptions among Japanese residents during and following the pandemic, the Committee of Infrastructure Planning and Management (IP) of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) conducted a web-based panel survey. This chapter utilizes data from this open-source database to examine the alterations in Japanese residents’ travel behaviors and their recognition of COVID-19-related risks during the outbreak and its aftermath.
