Abstract:
The chapter titled “Selling the experience” addresses a broad array of sports sales topics. Ticket sales are examined in relationship to event attendance motivations. Ticket pricing and sales promotion are also discussed. The fan experience is stressed as central to knowing how best to approach sales. Emotions that fans may experience are analyzed. The fan sensory experience is highlighted as important to creating affective experiences that fans enjoy
