Cross-Border Payments Regulation
.
Chapter 59 in EU Banking and Financial Regulation, 2024, pp 561-564 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Regulation (EU) 2021/1230 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 July 2021 on cross-border payments in the Union (the CBPR) lays down rules on cross-border payments within the EU and the transparency of currency conversion charges in the EU. The CBPR thus aims to facilitate cross-border business within the EU by preventing the fragmentation of payment markets.
