Eero Vaara
Chapter 32 in Elgar Encyclopedia of Innovation Management, 2025, pp 123-124 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Open strategy involves a radical departure from traditional approaches to strategy work. This is based on transparency and inclusion, allowing for diverse views and input from a wider range of internal or external stakeholders. This entry provides an overview of this new innovative perspective, including a discussion about the potential of this approach as well as reflection about the key challenges in applying this perspective. The final part of this entry offers a discussion about issues and questions for future research in this area.
