Honghao Hu and Zhong-Ming Wang

Chapter 5 in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, 2025, pp 93-113 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: In recent decades, the escalating recognition of entrepreneurial education has spurred the global expansion of university entrepreneurship majors and programs. This chapter delves into the Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP), a one-year MSc initiative collaboratively launched by Zhejiang University's School of Management (China), Babson College (US) and Emlyon Business School (France). It commences by elucidating the program's theoretical underpinnings, mission, and unique curriculum and pedagogical models, providing a comprehensive understanding of its educational framework. Then, it showcases empirical survey findings regarding student outcomes, encompassing competencies and employability, as well as program achievements, including awards and social influences. Finally, it analyzes the developmental challenges and distills the key lessons for establishing and sustaining a successful global MSc entrepreneurship program, thereby contributing meaningfully to the broader academic discourse on global entrepreneurship education.
