Abstract: Cultural heritage is a complex and multidimensional concept that varies across communities. It includes physical creations such as architecture and monuments, as well as intangible aspects like music, dance, and traditions, which reflect a society's identity and continuity. Various international frameworks recognize cultural heritage as vital to sustainable development and human rights. The Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) methodology integrates cultural heritage, but challenges arise, especially in Indigenous contexts, where the framework may not fully capture cultural dynamics and long-term social impacts. Cultural heritage also plays a critical role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to economic growth, social cohesion, and environmental sustainability, as emphasized in global initiatives.
