Abstract:
This study explores the integration of Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) into decision-making processes, emphasizing its significance for enhancing sustainability outcomes across various sectors. By systematically reviewing methodologies and applications of LCSA, we identify key factors that influence its effectiveness as a tool for decision-makers. Our analysis underscores the multidimensional aspects of LCSA, incorporating environmental, economic, and social dimensions to provide a holistic understanding of sustainability impacts. The findings highlight the importance of stakeholder engagement and the adaptability of LCSA frameworks to specific contextual needs. Through case studies, this research demonstrates how LCSA facilitates informed decision-making, leading to more sustainable practices and policies. The study contributes to the discourse on sustainability assessment, offering insights into the challenges and opportunities of implementing LCSA in real-world scenarios.
