Abstract: The sustainable development of future societies is closely related to today's opportunities and conditions that promote growth of children. Children are more vulnerable than adults to air and water pollution, sanitation, and hygiene conditions, and hazardous chemicals. Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) methodology can evaluate the impacts of products on children's health, emphasizing their physical and psychological development throughout the life cycle. In this way, the assessment of business practices, such as child labor, marketing strategies, and environmental impacts, may reveal possible consequences to children's health. In S-LCA, specific indicators should be applied to assess potential impacts in children's health, for example, the existence of corporate programs for children's well-being. The European Union (EU) has implemented policies like the Child Guarantee of 2021 to address health inequities and promote mental health among children. Understanding children's health vulnerability to various impacts is essential to crafting policies that minimize risks and promote their development.
