Chapter 5.7 in Elgar Encyclopedia of Strategy as Practice, 2025, pp 630-633 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
The aim of this entry is to explore the relations between SAP and the entrepreneurship as practice (EAP) research community, in terms of their emergence as research communities, the distinctiveness of EAP, what each community might learn from one another, and common issues facing both communities. The EAP research community arose more recently than the SAP community, and the reasons for its emergence have some similarities and differences with the history of SAP. Beyond the origins of both communities, EAP and SAP also share other similarities and differences that are worth highlighting. Importantly, we view these points of intersections as potential areas where members of both scholarly communities can learn from each other.
