Abstract: The Handbook of Teaching and Learning in Social Innovation aims to enhance students’ learning outcomes, promote impactful practices through education, integrate innovation into education, and support adaptation to changing social needs. The Handbook is organized into 28 chapters, divided into four parts, each focusing on a specific area of social innovation and education. A brief description of each chapter is provided in this introduction, along with a table outlining the regional focus and implications for research and practice. Readers will find empirical and conceptual insights from various perspectives, including strategies, teaching, and training. Additionally, it presents varied viewpoints from, for example, program creators, course instructors, and students. We invite educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore these contributions and reimagine education—not merely as a space for knowledge transmission and exchange, but as a catalyst for a more equitable, sustainable, and proactive society.
