Chapter Chapter 4 in Competition Law in ASEAN, 2025, pp 116-151 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
This chapter examines the competition institutions of each ASEAN Member State. They typically include a competition regulatory agency, separate constituent units and, in the case of Brunei and Malaysia, a review body and Competition Appeal Tribunal and, in Singapore’s case, a Competition Appeal Board. The chapter describes the composition, functions and powers of these bodies and the separate ministries responsible for their management and administration.
