Abstract: This chapter links recent debates on decoloniality and decarbonization to the field of economics and invites heterodox economists to undertake more ambitious decarbonization research based in climate justice. Decarbonization strategies must be analysed and reframed using a decolonial climate justice lens to avoid reinforcing historical patterns of power and exploitation.
