Abstract:
This chapter contains an analysis of the dynamics of the Dutch legal landscape and how this country regulates and protects IP rights associated with cannabis. Indeed, the Netherlands has for many decades tolerated the production, distribution, and consumption of cannabis. This chapter offers an overview of drug policy in the Netherlands and considers how trademarks and plant varieties’ rights apply to this product.
