Abstract: This chapter examines project management practices in the construction industries of developing countries, drawing insights from the literature. It traces the historical evolution of project management in these countries, from colonial influences to present-day dynamics, highlighting unique challenges and opportunities. Using qualitative research methodologies, the chapter explores key trends, contextual factors and gaps in current practices. Emphasising the need for adaptive strategies, it provides insights to inform policy, scholarly discourse and professional practice.
