Introduction: Global imbalances, crises, and supply chains

Daniel Vaughan-Whitehead ()

A chapter in The Fair Wage Solution, 2025, pp 1-13 from Edward Elgar Publishing

Abstract: The Introduction describes the current context with regard to global imbalances, such as growing inequalities and in-work poverty, as well as global supply chains as the dominant business model. We present the Fair Wage approach as an operational tool with which to address these vulnerabilities at the company level. The following chapters of the volume are also discussed.
