Regenerative hospitality defined
Alessandro Inversini
Chapter 4 in Regenerative Hospitality, 2026, pp 59-77 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Regenerative hospitality departs from sustainability and promotes a net positive impact towards the understanding of interconnected living systems. It is a whole new paradigm that starts with a regenerative mindset shift and fosters place intelligence (net positive impact on natural and social ecosystems) and people intelligence (net positive impact in the host-guest relational ecosystem). Regenerative hospitality is not sustainability on steroids; it is the research of a ‘new balance’ to overcome the extractivist nature of hospitality. It is the awareness that net positive responsibility towards interconnected living systems can be a viable organizational orientation.
