Abstract:
This chapter comments on Article 19 of the Sixth Anti-Money Laundering Directive (EU) 2024/1640, requiring each Member State to establish an operationally independent FIU with defined analytical, dissemination, and coordination tasks. It addresses resources, professional secrecy, security, information exchange with authorities and obliged entities, and Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) guidance.
