Abstract: The Construction Industry in the Global South has a growing field of knowledge. Research in the field has been vibrant, especially since the early 2000s. The recent research has covered many new topics. The chapters in this book are on some of these new topics in the subject. In this chapter, the discussions in this book are brought to a conclusion by setting out an outline of the likely future of the subject of the Construction Industry in the Global South. First, the current situation of the field is considered. Then, the problems of construction in the Global South are outlined, with a view to bringing out what needs to be done to move the area forward. A research agenda is presented. A picture of the likely future of the field of the Construction Industry in the Global South is presented. Finally, some actions that can be taken to move the field forward are outlined.
