Chapter 9 in Concise Introduction to Employee Engagement, 2026, pp 155-172 from Edward Elgar Publishing
Abstract:
Strategic employee engagement involves aligning the organization's strategy with an employee engagement strategy. By being strategic about employee engagement, an organization can ensure that the right employees are engaged when it is most important and necessary for them to be highly engaged. An employee engagement strategy can be developed and implemented using the Employee Engagement Practice Model. Organizations can promote and maintain high levels of employee engagement by implementing a process to manage employee engagement using the Employee Engagement Management Process, which involves facilitating employee engagement and performance by managing the operational context in which work is performed.
