It explores the potential of this sector and the challenges it faces, including infrastructure development, battery technology, and consumer adoption. The chapter analyses the role of domestic manufacturers in the EV supply chain and India's efforts to position itself in the global EV market. It concludes with an assessment of the industry's prospects and its potential impact on India's automotive sector and overall economy.
