Abstract:
A business cluster is a form of collaboration, in the advantage of all members, between companies located in the same geographical area. A supply chain is a system of organizations, people, technologies, activities, information and resources involved in moving a product or service from suppliers of materials to customers. Supply chain activities transform natural resources, raw materials and components into finished products, which are delivered to the end customers. A supply chain function based on the collaboration between companies. The cluster supply chain consolidates the collaborative issue of enterprises located inside a business cluster, optimizes the resources allocation, and enhances the whole competitiveness of business clusters. This paper talks about the premises and advantages of using a cluster supply chain and presents a case study about the operational delivery of healthcare products and services through an effective cluster supply chain.
