Salvador García-López and Rosina Eugenia Villanueva-Arriaga

European Journal of Dental and Oral Health, 2026, vol. 7, issue 1, 8-15

Abstract: A thirty-three-year-old female patient presented with a Class II division 2 malocclusion on a skeletal II pattern with a reduced lower facial height, a Class II full-unit molar relationship on the right, a Class II half-unit molar relationship on the left, and Class II canine relationships on both sides; the upper centerline was shifted to the left by 3 mm with a complete overbite, and the patient had good oral hygiene. Treatment aimed to correct the molar relationship on both sides and upper right canine, centerline and deep bite. The patient was treated with clear aligners, and a sequential distalization protocol was executed. Fifty-five sets of clear aligners, 18 sets of refinement aligners, and class II elastics were worn by the patient and changed every week. Practical cooperation between patient and healthcare team is essential for achieving successful treatment outcomes.
