Abstract:
Marked segment constituted by people having any kind of handicap is gaining increasing prominence for tourism. The great amount of individuals included in this segment as well as its potential growth, coupled with their increasing participation in tourism market, leads us to consider this as a business opportunity for tourism industry. It is therefore important to know the needs and desires of disabled people in their behaviour as tourists, trying to profile a tourist offer with a adapted content, which in its turn can contribute to a greater satisfaction for disabled tourists and a greater competitiveness for tourism business.
