Abstract:
This work aims to identify and analyze similarities between the economic evolution and market structures in a historical context. However, this work mostly specializes on the development of the European Union in the modern globalization period: that is the stage of oligopoly. A brief explanation of the previous stages (perfect competition and monopolistic competition), will be given. The final stage of monopoly is seen to have not been achieved yet and is seen as the initial final goal of Globalization.
