Abstract:
The present article that comprises of other studies of the same author (Sousa, E. 2009), tries, with the obstacles of the study case, to propose an interpretation, of the form of beginning deed of the peripheral expansion in the cities, from a metropolitan center; taking as the study case the metropolis of Monterrey, in the period, when it initiates the process of municipal incorporation (1940-1950), that brings place not only to the metropolitan phenomenon; but also, to the generation and the later multiplication, to the present time, of multiple spaces with differentiated characteristics.
