Políticas neoliberais, desequilíbrio macroeconômico e governabilidade: os casos do Brasil e Argentina

Abstract: In this article we have as intention to study the relation that exists enters the implementation of the politics of structural adjustment and stabilization recommended by the FMI for Latin America, the fiscal crisis and the governability in the countries of the region, focusing the cases of Brazil and Argentina. We take as base in this study the analysis of the three variable of economic performance: growth, unemployment and inflation. The results of these analyses had evidenced that the neoliberal politics had contributed for the rise of the external and internal vulnerability in both the countries, and that the governability still meets significantly threatened in Argentina and moderately in Brazil. We conclude, to the end, that the drastic outcome of the Argentina crisis and the increase of the vulnerability of the Brazilian economy confirm the failure of the politics of neoliberal cut in Latin America, that they had not revealed capable to generate a consistent model of sustainable growth and reduction of the poverty in the countries of the region.
