Abstract: El presente ensayo pretende analizar de forma breve el retorno del Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) a la presidencia de la República luego de ganar la elección federal del año 2012 y a partir de ello dar cuenta de sus acciones más trascendentes en el ámbito público: el Pacto por México, las once reformas promovidas por el presidente Enrique Peña Nieto y como reaccionó ante la crisis política y de seguridad pública en entidades federativas como: Michoacán, Guerrero y Oaxaca.
