The Indian Security State: Agendas of Concern

Abstract: The indecent haste shown by Political Executive and Parliament on December16-17, 2008 while dealing with security related issues substantiates the argument that security and defence agenda of the Indian state has become pre-eminent and the social agenda of democracy has been reduced to a secondary and non-essential status.
