Abstract:
This paper looks at how the term ‘dumping’ is understood by the economists, trade and trade officials and multilateral bodies like the WTO and traces the origin and evolution of antidumping measures over time. In the next section, evolution of international antidumping rules is documented. The final section takes stock of the use of antidumping measures by various countries over a period of two decades.
