Food Inflation and Agricultural Supply Chain Management

Harun R Khan

Working Papers from eSocialSciences

Abstract: During the current year so far, inflation at the retail level in oils and fats has been higher than at the wholesale level. While this phenomenon can be attributed to a number of factors, improvement in supply change management will certainly help in narrowing the gap. Price paid by final consumer for the edible oil differs significantly across major cities within the country. These are also due to the issues of supply chain management. So it is very important to understand the importance and potential of supply chain management.
