Abstract: The Committee is mandated to prepare a position paper on the present socioeconomic, health and educational status of Schedule Tribes, and is expected to suggest policy initiatives as well as effective outcome-oriented measures to improve development indices and strengthen public service delivery to the Scheduled Tribes.
