Abstract:
This research focuses on the design and implementation of a low-cost Smart Multipurpose Rail Guard to address safety and accessibility challenges at railway platforms. Accidents frequently occur due to the gap between platforms and trains, posing a significant risk, especially for elderly individuals and people with physical disabilities. Additionally, these individuals often find it challenging to use trams and flyovers to cross platforms. The proposed solution aims to prevent accidents by intelligently addressing the platform gap while enhancing the overall safety and convenience of railway users. By integrating smart technology, the system ensures better accessibility and usability, providing a cost-effective approach to improve railway infrastructure. This innovative solution not only prioritizes passenger safety but also promotes inclusivity, making railway travel safer and more accessible for all.
