Synthesis and Structural Characterization of 3-thio-4-acetyl- α-D-glucosyl-5-arylimino-1,2,4-dithiazolidines

Abstract: The synthesis of numerous 3-Thio-4-acetyl–α-D-glucosyl-5-arylimino-1,2,4-dithiazolidine (III) was achieved by the reaction of N-Sugar-S-chloro isothiocarbamoyl chloride (I) with a variety of Ammonium aryl dithiocarbamate (II). Using conventional chemical transformations, infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance with 1H, and mass spectral analysis, the identities of these newly discovered N-glucosides have been determined. These synthesized molecules applied as a anti-bacterial and antifungal agents which gives excellent results as an anti-microbial agents.
