Survey on Assessment of ADR Reporting Awareness among Healthcare Professionals

Abstract: Background:The healthcare system experiences increased difficulty because adverse drug reactions (ADRs) serve as a major cause for both healthcare complications and fatalities. The existing pharmacovigilance systems face challenges because healthcare workers demonstrate insufficient awareness about their responsibilities which leads to ongoing underreporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs). The study aims to assess the KAP reporting system for adverse drug reactions (ADRs) among healthcare workers while discovering the obstacles that lead to ADR underreporting. The researchers conducted a prospective observational cross-sectional study at a tertiary care hospital which involved 50 medical professionals who completed a standardized pre-validated questionnaire.
