Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) create a substantial public health issue because they lead to increased patient suffering and death and extended hospital stays and greater medical expenses. The drug safety monitoring process needs healthcare professionals to conduct spontaneous ADR reports and effective pharmacovigilance operations. Healthcare providers face an ongoing difficulty with underreporting because they possess insufficient knowledge and their attitudes and practices remain untrained. METHOD: The research team conducted an online survey with 50 healthcare professionals who included physicians and pharmacists and nurses and interns. The research team used a structured Google Form to collect data which included demographic information and KAP-related questions about ADR reporting.
