Abstract: More than 100,000 people, including thousands of minors, die annually from fentanyl overdoses in the United States. This substance, in its different presentations, heads List I that the Single Convention of 1961 on Narcotic Drugs cataloged as narcotic drugs "subject to all control measures." Although of a different nature, in Colombia the problems that this list has caused are equally disturbing.
