Abstract: The value of Kondratyev’s cycles for studying regional development is substantiated, which consists in their interdisciplinary nature, in the possibility to explain and predict the presence of multiple turning points in the system’s development, in the possibility to reveal mediate interdependence between countries and regions, in an optimum duration of cycles to perceive regional phenomena. The analysis of phases and waves of the global development has made it possible to perceive both the regularities of the previous stage of regional development, and to determine the development prospects of the RF subjects
