Abstract: The state and prospects for the reproduction of the population and the development of the social sphere in the Russian Far East are examined. The presented analysis of the current situation shows that the Far East will not be able to exit the demographic and migration crisis without state support and implement measures to improve the quality of life of the Far East, overcome spatial remoteness and restore the image of an attractive region that is necessary for population consolidation
