Abstract: Presented here is an attempt to analyze the creative heritage of the «well-forgotten» Russian economist N.P. Oganovskiy. N.P. Oganovskiy’s research is broken into three main directions: firstly, the influence of political factors on agriculture; secondly, the agrarian evolution, and thirdly, the influence of spatially changeable factors on agriculture, which can be also called agrarian geography
