Abstract:
This paper explores the relationship between art and rural life in the context of early and mid-twentieth-century Assam through an analysis of the musical works of Bishnuprasad Rava (1909–1969). Rava was an artist who experimented with a wide range of art forms, including music, dance, literature, drama, film, and painting, from the 1930s to the 1960s.
