Abstract:
This study aims at studying the relationship between happiness and emotional intelligence among female students participating in the 10th Sport Olympiad of Iranian universities held in Semnan province. To do this survey, 302 female students were randomly selected from the total population of female students participating in the 10th sport Olympiad of Iranian Universities. To collect data, the study used three standardized questionnaires: Oxford's Happiness Questionnaire; Brodberry's Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, and a questionnaire of personal and professional information. The data were analyzed via SPSS. The results show that: There is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and happiness; and emotional intelligence is the best predictor of happiness.
