Review of Environment, Energy and Economics - Re3, 2012
Abstract:
This article describes future energy and emissions scenarios in China. Using the scenarios on future economic development, energy use and emissions generated by the Integrated Assessment Model WITCH, a few key messages are highlighted. In particular, for the crucial role that China has and will have in determining global future climate, it is of utmost importance that the gap between the stated goals and what appears politically feasible is filled in the next ten-twenty years.
