Abstract: This article examines the rise of a new consumer that inaugurates, along with enterprises and institutions, a model of citizenship based on responsibility and greater awareness of emerging global challenges. Citizens and enterprises are now becoming partners of a collective commitment that aims to generate a positive impact on society. Citizen Consumers are in fact requesting more responsibility, understanding and involvement from companies, and this contribution postulates that dialogue, collaboration and engagement could have the power to transform the traditional model of Business Sustainability into a more innovative and modern paradigm.
