Imaginário, administração e liderança

RAE - Revista de Administração de Empresas, 1989, vol. 29, issue 4
Abstract:
This paper deals with the way organizations are managed by those who work at the top. It has been clearer each day that it is not a question ofa "rational" process as most of the literature about this subject claims. Actually the orientations, the decisions and actions assumed by thoee managers clearly express their personal marks that are born in a whole of desires, convictions, preferences and particular interests that describe quite well their unique personalities as executives. The paper refutes the nai"ve belief that "good administration", "good decisions" or "good resulte"achieved by the organizations are necessarily the consequence of the simple use of procedures detached from the personal characteristics of the manager himself.
