Abstract: This text describes an empírical research conducted in Brazil in 1996, comprehending information service companies in order to better understand their side in a partnership relation in which the IT (Information Technology) services are the subject. This is a viewpoint not approached before in the Brazilian contexto The study reveals important conclusions which make easier the understanding of outsourcing.
