Abstract: The electronic commerce, with its innovative applications, is considered as one of the major emergent trends with the biggest contribution to the business processes, for ali industries. With the crescent use of electroniccommerce, inc/uding Internet, the aspect of security and privacy of information becomes criticai. These aspects affect directly the adoption of this technology. The article has the objective to present studies about the aspects of security and privacy, as well as to discuss the problem of resistance and the strategy to overcome it.
